Times are hard for everyone at the moment for many reasons- I understand that entirely.

I have worked in the NHS for over 15 years and for 6 years before that I was training in the NHS. Everyday I am seeing the difficulties patients are facing, and often terrible hardship. Patients seem sicker than before and hospitals, GP surgeries, care homes and paramedics are facing extraordinarily busy times. My heart goes out to all my patients who need to access care, for those who may have long waits and for those who have put off accessing care due to fear.

Something that makes me proud though is what I witness everyday at work in the Emergency Department and working in General Practice- People care.
