Botulinum toxin injections can be administered as a neck lift treatment and is sometimes known as a "Nefertiti neck lift". This treatment involves injections into the platysma muscle, which is the powerful muscle that runs down the front and sides of the neck.
The aim of the treatment is to reduce the pull of this muscle and the downward dragging effect it has on the jawline and lower face. The desired results are a smoother neck contour, reduced sagging of the lower face and an improved jaw shape.
This treatment could be ideal for those concerned with the initial signs of ageing of the neck area and could also be used to help delay ageing of the area. Where ageing is more advanced, and skin and muscle laxity is more pronounced, this treatment would be less effective. Jawline slimming
Botulinum toxin injections can be used to produce a slimming effect of the jawline. The treatment involves injections into the jaw muscle, known as the masseter, that controls many of the lower jaw movements. This muscle can become overdeveloped, for example due to involuntary jaw clenching and teeth grinding, and the overdeveloped muscles will give the appearance of a wider and more prominent jawline.
Injections of Botulinum toxin into this muscle can help to relax the muscle and limit the movement, whilst still being able to chew and bite. Relaxing and reducing the use of the muscle should result in the size of the muscle decreasing and give the appearance of a slimmer jawline.

Cosmetic anti-sweating injections
Whilst there are several treatment options for those that are concerned about the appearance of excessive sweating, cosmetic anti-sweating injections are available as one option. The treatment involves using Botulinum toxin injections to help reduce sweating in the underarm area. The nerve signals that stimulate sweating are blocked and therefore the amount of sweat produced may be reduced.
This may be suitable for patients that have concerns about the appearance of excessive underarm sweating. The treatment could help reduce sweating but will not completely prevent it. The effects will reduce over time and the treatment would need to be repeated after around six months.
